Register Your Middle School (Free)
Click Register and fill out your school's information. Choose your state, your role (Parent, Coach, AD, School Admin, or NFMSS Staff), and which sports your school competes in. Registration is completely FREE. Once you submit, you'll receive a confirmation email immediately.

NFMSS Reviews & Approves
Our NFMSS Staff reviews every registration within 1-2 business days. This ensures only legitimate grades 6-8 middle school programs appear on the platform. No AAU, no travel teams, no high school programs. Once approved, you receive an email and your school goes live in the rankings system.

Submit Game Scores
After each game, use the Quick Submit panel or the Entry section to log your final score. Include the opponent's name, game date, and game type. Each result automatically updates your team's national ranking using the NFMSS formula.

Score Live Games in Real Time
The Live section lets anyone watching the game score it in real time — period by period, with play-by-play event tracking. You can record who scored, who got the rebound, who had the interception, who recorded the pin — depending on the sport. Live scores appear in the scoreboard ticker at the top of every page.

View National Rankings
The Rankings section shows the Top 10 nationally for every sport. Rankings are calculated using the NFMSS formula: Win % × 60 + Strength of Schedule × 25 + Point Differential × 15. Teams need at least 3 completed games to appear in national rankings. Filter by sport and state.

Track Stat Leaders
The Stats section shows national and state stat leaders for every sport — points per game, rushing yards, goals, batting average, kills per set, pins, and more. Stats are submitted by coaches and ADs after each game.

Manage Your Roster
Coaches and ADs can add players to their team's roster in the Rosters section. Each roster supports up to 2 Team Captains per team, who are highlighted with a gold ⭐ Captain badge. Rosters are publicly viewable for all registered schools.

Eligibility Rules
RisingRanks Sports is exclusively for middle school programs — grades 6, 7, and 8 only. All registered organizations must be affiliated with an accredited middle school. The National Federation of Middle School Sports (NFMSS) is the Official Partner and governing body for this platform.

NFMSS Student-Athlete of the Week
Each week, NFMSS staff selects one outstanding middle school athlete for the National Spotlight — featured prominently on the homepage with their photo, stats, position, and story. The Spotlight recognizes exceptional performance, sportsmanship, or achievement across all registered sports and states. Schools can contact NFMSS to nominate athletes.

Athlete of the Week Voting
Every week, fans, parents, and coaches can vote for the Athlete of the Week from a curated list of nominees selected by NFMSS. Each visitor gets one vote per week. Nominees are displayed with their stats and school, and a live vote count updates in real time. The week's winner is announced when NFMSS closes voting. This section drives significant community engagement and repeat traffic to the platform.

Platform Stats Counter
The homepage displays a live stats bar showing the total number of registered schools, states represented, games submitted, and sports tracked. These numbers pull directly from the platform database and update automatically as new schools register and games are submitted — showing the national reach of RisingRanks Sports at a glance.
